I am not 100% sure I did it right but it will be cute. I have cut binding and bount the facing edges and collar. I will bind the sleeve edges. It will be very comfortable in the heat. I will try to finish the pants tonight. Now I feel that the sizing is ok. I made the top first to test the sizing

where did I go this week?

Nowhere. But I have slacked on posting, not on sewing or riding. I got the fabric for two things in the book Mary gave me. The harem pants skirt and the french pleated sleeve top. I would not reccomend that book to anybody who is not an experienced seamstress. It takes some figuring. I am currently having issues with the sleeve. Let's see how this turns out. I showed a bunch of people at work and everybody loves them. I maybe should have made the top in a medium but this sizing seemend small. I hope to finish it and the pants this weekend. I got a linen blend. It will feel good to wear in the heat wave.

Today I rode 47 miles! I went around the north end of the lake on the trail, then got on West Lake Sammammish and went to Newport then home across I-90. And of course it was hot. I feel like I am actually getting fit again.

Seriously, best event ever. Standing room only and lots of Husky love. The old timers game was good (Romar is good) and the alumi game was awesome. Most of them are currently in the NBA and/or playing in Europe. I loved it.

Dress zipper put in and lots of improvement in the Front Yard

I did the zipper and Brian did the front yard. It looks better than it ever has.

skirt sewn and bodice on

This is going to turn out really cute. I need a zipper but I will get that this afternoon. I also think opening the pleat in the front will add alot. I may need a new sweater (via goodwill) to go with it.

skirt front and my new iron

There is a big pleat in the front that is not opened up yet. And now as I look at the form - I think there should be facings for the bodice arm holes but I don't remember cutting them or seeing pattern pieces. Hmmm, this may require some pattern making.

This is my new iron. I love it. Since there is no cord I can take it to my work table and press there if I need to.

And I ran last night. It was not as painful as 2 night ago. And I ran in the rain. Small progress.

I am putting new dress together

And yes, I worked out too. Law and Order in the background as I rode my trainer. I have started "running" again too. I suck. My objective is to out and back to turn around point I used to hit at 12 minutes (now hitting at 15!) at 13 then I will start adding distance.

I think this dress is cute.

I should get to start sewing tonight. Last night I had to finish a repair that was way harder than I thought it would be when I priced it. Oh well.

lots going on

I have been very committed to everything, except posting. I rode 2x this weekend and am acutally feeling like I am verging on verging on being in ok bike shape. And I started "running" again. Nothing dramatic but I am out there.
