HALLOWEEN DRESS DONE

I put a snap at the collar. I think it is really cute. Now I am working on a pattern to make my own jeans. I think that is the only way to get perfect ones. Then I can make them in different fabrics, different let widths, lenght etc.

Husky game and new skirt

Very late game but we won.  This is another linen skirt from the pattern book Mary gave me. Done - I will wear it tomorrow.

All I need to do it put the buttons on and cleanup the loose ends. I think it is very cute. I have one more Halloween outfit/skirt thing I may make.
I also cleaned up my studio. That has made me feel more efficient. I also have a new rule. Whenever I stop ( to go to bed, to work, for a few hours) I have to put everything away. I think that is where/how the "pile of projects" begins.

I added a chest pocket with the last of the trim on it.

Almost done

I added some trim I had laying in my stash.  All I need to do is hem the sleeves, add buttons and maybe a chest pocket (with the remaining 6" of trim at the top). Then I want to make a little head thing with the small remainder of purple fabric I have.

Halloween Dress

I did not want to do a costume so I did a dress. I bought 2 yards of the purple then did not have enough for the dress I decided to make so I got 1 yard of the black and did not have enough to make a long enough skirt so I pieced some  purple remnants together to make a band.

I may add a pocket and make some ears or somethign to wear with it out of the purple. I also may add some sparkly stuff or other goofy things.

my entrance into the Seattle Times contest

It was total project runway yesterday morning to get it done (translation - glue gun and please do not look inside the garment).  I will definitely wear the jacket but I need to finish some loose ends up first. And I have been riding my trainer. I want to run tonight. I am also working on this year's team kit.

I have the other side band almost sewn in. And I decided what to do with the skirt - adding a band of the coat fabric and a sparkly zipper. I also may add leather band extentions to the sleeves

I also want to make matching gloves, a bag and maybe a hat.  By this weekend. No problem.

I shortened the jacket. Then I cut  band out of a set of old leather collars I picked up from some vendor and inserted it as a band.  I am going to add band/extensions to the sleeves because they are short.  I will also put new buttons on it and maybe do something to the collar.

This is the contest I am thinking of entering the outfit in.

new project

I may enter this into a contest from the Seattle Times for crafty fashionistas.  I am going put a new  sparkly zipper in the skirt and add a trim of the jacket fabric. Then I will shorten the jacket and modify it. Maybe add new buttons etc.  Then I want to make a hat and purse to go with.  I have until the 15th.
