not a great day but I did something

I only walked out the remainder of steps I had to reach 10,000. But I did that in the dark with Ranger so that should count.

I want to finish the top tomorrow and hope the repair/patch to the front works.

This is my next project. I love these jeans. I love them so much I put the pattern on tag. I have made several pairs but then stopped wearing then when I had gained weight. But now that I am down 21 lbs I started wearing them again and I want to make more.

sewing report

this is a pattern from a book, the kind that has minimal insructions- vague sizing info and tear out sheets you trace the pattern from. Agg. You can see how it was supposed to look in the drawing.

But this is how it looks when done - about 7" of open space in the middle. So, I made a panel and sewed extra lace on top of it. It will cover the opening and hopefully look cute.

 I like the style but if I make it again I will make major fixes to the pattern.

this is what I am working on now

it is a job for a client. I am making a pattern and a tech pack for this bear.  They had it in production out of state and the factory lost the pattern. They had some things they thought was the pattern but after I made them, we realized they were wrong. I ended up having to take the only sample apart and make a proto from it.  Amost done.

Dress help

This is a job I did for a client. He was turning 50 and wanted to make a dress that was from 50 years ago.  He found this Simplicity Pattern and hired me to alter the pattern so it would fit him. I also helped him pick out fabric and sew it.  I ended up eliminating the pattern and lining (too much for newbie) but he did a really good job.

This is made from an old bag and table cloth hem my friend gave me. It is from the pattern I got in the class I took with Mary. I still need to make the front neck scoop and bind the neck and sleeves

My fabric

I found some bright seersucker in the boxes that lady gave me.  I feel like something bright. I will also make a skirt to match.  I am making the facing out of the print. Not sure about the collar or sleeves yet.

Today we went to Viking Sew and Vac to find a better serger and got Larnell's fabric for his shirt

fish update

Now there are about 6 little fish. 3 of the 4 Plattys I got about 3 months ago are still there and so are the three algae eaters. The rule is 1 gallon for each inch of fish so I have time until I need to expand.  I think the two fish below are the parents. Not sure but why are they hiding in the tree.

A lady in the sewing club I am in showed this at a meeting and I liked it . The pattern if from France but it was not expensive so I ordered it. I like it with and without sleeves.
