New dress

My last summer dress for this year. It has big pouch pockets on the side. I cut it wrong first so I had to piece the front but you can't really tell. And it is $6.99/yd fabric from the remnamt table so you can't get too stressed.

Mariners and backyard birds

I am slso going to finish a new dress today. I will post that later. Lucky I work at Filson becasue there was NOOOO parking in the alley where we usually park for free because there was also a sounders game and the frenzy for the feliz bobbleheads. I went in and told the staff I was parking in our lot and they OK'd it. These were the best seats I have ever gotten when I paid for them. (Ladies night was closer but that was a work thing) And there are so many birds in the yard. This is a a shot from my bathroom window so it is not great. But sometimes there are 15 - 20 birds clammoring for food.

new dress I am wearing today

I have made this pattern before. It is one of the ones I use when I have fabric from my stash that is not enough for a "whole" dress. I made the facings out of the skirt fabric and rolled the armhole facing to the outside so it looks like piping. Off to the gym. I have only missed one of the 6 am classes since I started a few months ago. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Sunflower from our yard

It is one of those giant ones. It looked like this and was really pretty until a freakin' squirell jumped on it and broke it. It is now a flower in a vase in our kitchen. I want to put up some wire on teh fence by them so there can be no more jumping by those little pests.

I am still here

I have been sewing for myself after all the time on that bridesmaid dress. I had a total Wayne Olson neat out this weekend in my studio. I got rid of a ton of stuff and ironed like a crazy person. Here re shots from me, Jeannine, Dana and Dubs this weekend. It was so fun.I got lots of autographs.

You can see why the first dress maker had so much trouble re-creating the look they wanted. It just did not work with Chiffon. This is sort of the middle between the desired look and what they originally had.

My new husky basketball seats

It is so hard to get closer there because of the fight for seats. But I moved way closer to the center and 2 rows in. And really, all seats there are good. If I had wanted 2 seats I could not have gotten that close. Hopefully next year Brian can get a seat too and we can stay as close

My client hired somebody to make the dress in red out of the blue. It did not come out right so I am taking the pieces of the blue dress and making the red one.

Then these are from our garden. The peppers look like they are turning black before they turn red.
