facings on

All I have to do is the hem and the belt. If it is supposed to be warm tomorrow I may finish it so I can wear it. If not, I may finish it this weekend and lay out my next project instead.

I also met my sew or ride duty.  I sewed and will sew some more! I also went to the gym and ran and lifted.

I got one sleeve facing on and took it half way out to lose some wrinkles. Then I also took the top of the center back out to make it better.  So,  I did not finish last night. But I did go to the gym.

I also picked the fabric for the belt. I want to finish tonight. Then I will finish/hem both purple dresses. Then something new (but try to finish two other super long term things).

I  made the facings this morning (actually made them twice because I sewed together wrong at first). I have the neck one on. I still need to understitch etc. I should finish tonight. I may need to bedazzle the neck. I could do nothing with out my supervisor's watchful eye.  She may look like she is sleeping but she monitors every stitch.

All I have left is to sew the facings in and hem  it.  This is mostly fabric you gave me Mary. I have another dress from the same fabric mix.  I will post a pic of that too. It is from the dog coat lady stash  - I think.

I bet I I will finish it tonight. I think I will make this pattern again.  It is easy and lots of possibilities. It has a center back zipper.

I like them. A little nicer than my usual summer stuff.

dress update

I re-positioned the bands. I also serged the seam allowances then stitched them down with a decorative stitch. I am still thinking of a orange dot band at the bottom. It is fun.

Sunday

First off, I rode 1 hour yesterday on my trianer from 10 to 11 at night. Extra credit. And I will ride again tonight but not so late.

Today we made new curtains for Brian's window. Here is before and after.

Good weekend so far

I had a decent ride yesterday. Out and back on the trail but I met a former teammate/friend at my turn around point and so we rode back to Seattle together.

I also started this dress. I plan on using the orange dots as a small border on the bottom.  Bordering on clown like but I think it is fun.

I love this sparkly ruffle fabric. I made this in 15 minutes this morning. No hem - just cut it.  And elastic waist.  I have two more dresses planned with what I have left. I bet I will wear this all the time.

I still need to press this out. I may scrap it though. I am not sure I will like it and I found a perfect sweater at goodwill this weekend.  But maybe it will look once it is done and I put it on.
